Peter Lothes joined the optical industry in 1992 after graduating from college by working in the family retail and wholesale lab business in Columbus, Ohio. Shortly after joining the family business, he became President of the wholesale lab. The lab was acquired by Essilor Laboratories of America (ELOA) in 2004 and he continued as its President until 2009. Later, he held various operational executive positions with Essilor Luxottica, Satisloh and Advanced Eyecare. He has been COO of the Fielmann Group since 2023. In March 2025, he was appointed to the Management Board.
